Weekly Tuition includes childcare on half days and teacher workdays. No need to register for Holiday Care if you are part of our Afterschool Program.

Part time transportation

We know not every family needs after-school transportation five days a week, so we're excited to offer a new Part-Time Transportation option for students attending

Carlton Palmore Elementary,

Scott Lake Elementary,

and Valleyview Elementary.

The Part-Time Transportation Plan is for families with a recurring part-time schedule, not for week-to-week scheduling changes.

Why only these schools?

Part-Time Transportation is currently available only for Carlton Palmore, Scott Lake, and Valleyview Elementary. These schools are served by our bus route, which gives us limited flexibility to accommodate part-time schedules. Our van routes serve fewer students and are designed around recurring weekly transportation schedules. To provide safe, dependable transportation for all enrolled families, Part-Time Transportation is not available for our van-route schools, and we are unable to make exceptions.

how it works

When registering, you'll choose the number of transportation days your child will need each week (1–5 days). Those days become your child's reserved transportation schedule for the school year. If your child needs transportation every school day, our traditional 5-day transportation plan continues to offer the best overall value.

Tuition is based on the schedule you reserve, not on attendance. We reserve your child's seat on the bus, schedule staffing, and plan our routes based on your selected days. Because of this, tuition remains the same if your child is absent due to illness, vacation, appointments, school activities, or other personal reasons. Reserved transportation days cannot be exchanged for the $25 daily rate, credited, refunded, or transferred to another day.

Transportation schedules may be increased during the school year, if space is available, but may not be reduced after registration. Your selected transportation schedule remains in effect for the entire school year.

Need an extra day? If space is available, additional transportation days may be added for $25 per day. Requests must be submitted through our website at least one business day in advance by purchasing a "Part Time Afterschool Rate" and including the requested date in the notes section. Additional days are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.

oUR PROGRAM

Our afterschool program in South Lakeland is more than just childcare - it’s a place where kids can learn, grow, and have fun every day. Students enjoy a variety of activities including crafts, games, STEM challenges, and more, with three dedicated rooms for aftercare. Snack and lemonade are provided daily.

Every week includes two Taekwondo classes, divided by age and rank. Martial arts participation is optional but is included in the weekly tuition.

A uniform is not required for afterschool classes, though one will be needed for belt testing.

At Family Martial Arts Center, we strive to instill the life virtues of discipline, respect, integrity, and confidence. Our staff leads by example, serving as the positive role models children need today. Every day is an opportunity to grow, not just in aftercare, but in life.

things to know

Tuition is due each Friday for the upcoming week. A $5/day late fee begins Tuesday.
Tuition covers pickup and care on school half days.
Holiday care is available most days schools are closed. If holiday care falls on a school week, care is included in your tuition.
Full tuition is due during school weeks, even if your child is absent.
Please notify us by 2:00 PM if your child will not ride the bus. Repeated failure to notify may result in a $5 fine.
Pickup ends at 6:30 PM. A late fee of $2 per minute applies after that time.
